Having finished my award-nominated binge and with nothing on my DVR I finally got around to watching the 2018 Oscar Winner "Roma". It was, quite frankly, freaking brilliant. I was sucked in from the first moments and couldn't tear my eyes away. The Spanish language is not daunting as dialog is sparse and moments are communicated through facial expressions and gorgeously framed shots. It appears to say little but says so much. It haunts and lingers. Two weeks after watching it I still think back to it. At this point it has gone onto my "Top 10 of all time" list. A quiet little film which will grab your soul. Amazing, touching, sad and beautiful.
